1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and OnlyFiles ("OnlyFiles", "we", "us") governing your use of onlyfiles.in and the tools, accounts, and payment features available there (the "Site" or "Service"). By visiting the Site, using any of its tools, creating an account, or purchasing OnlyFiles Pro, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

We may update these Terms from time to time as described in Section 14. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

2. Description of the Service

OnlyFiles provides a set of file tools — including compression, format conversion, merging, encryption, watermarking, metadata scrubbing, and photo effects — that run entirely client-side, in your own browser. Your files are processed locally on your device using standard web technologies (such as Canvas, Web Crypto, and PDF libraries loaded into the page) and are never uploaded to, or stored on, an OnlyFiles server.

Some tools are free to use without an account. Others ("Pro" tools) require a one-time payment to unlock, as described in Section 4.

3. Accounts

Some features require creating an account, either with an email address and password or by signing in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If local law where you live requires a higher minimum age to consent to use online services without parental approval, you must meet that age instead.

You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it up to date.

4. Free service and access

All tools on OnlyFiles are currently provided free of charge. If premium features are introduced in the future, any changes will be communicated in advance and existing free features will remain available.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site to process, generate, or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful content;
• Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with rate limiting, security, or any access controls on the Site;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Site beyond what's already visible in a standard browser, except where applicable law gives you the right to do so;
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Site in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law.

Because your files never leave your device, we have no visibility into what you process with OnlyFiles' tools — but you're still responsible for making sure your own use of the Service is lawful.

6. Intellectual property

The Site, including its design, code, branding, and the OnlyFiles name and logo, is owned by OnlyFiles and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any ownership in the Site — only a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use it for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms.

You retain full ownership of any files you process using OnlyFiles' tools. Since those files are processed locally and never transmitted to us, we make no claim to them whatsoever.

7. Service availability and changes

We aim to keep OnlyFiles available and reliable, but we don't guarantee the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service — including individual tools — at any time, with or without notice.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the tools will be error-free, that compression or conversion results will meet your specific requirements, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or secure. You use the Site's tools at your own discretion and risk, and we recommend keeping a backup of any original file you process, as you would with any file-editing software.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OnlyFiles and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for something that can't be limited under applicable law, such as fraud or gross negligence where local law prevents such a limitation.

10. Third-party services

OnlyFiles relies on a small number of third-party providers to operate: Supabase for optional authentication and account storage, Google for optional "Sign in with Google," and Vercel for hosting. Your use of features backed by these providers is also subject to their own terms of service, and we aren't responsible for their availability or conduct. More detail on what each provider handles is in our Privacy Policy.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Site or delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms or misused the Service.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of the country where you live.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time as the Site changes. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after a change is posted means you accept the updated Terms.
